When it does, it typically comes with difficult and unnecessary restrictions that limit and discourage in-house attorneys’ pro bono participation. PBI, in partnership with the Association of Corporate Counsel, is actively working to change this. As a result of recent advocacy efforts around the U.S. 15 jurisdictions have empowered 7000+ in-house counsel to practice pro bono. But there is more work to do.
