-Implemented React’s modular component architecture and Virtual DOM rendering capabilities to create an interactive, dynamic and responsive user experience for dashboard components. -Leveraged React Router’s optimized UX and client side efficiency to dynamically render components/ increase content delivery speed by implementing static routes (minimizing server requests) as well as mimic a multi-page experience in a SPA. -Deployed a Kubernetes orchestration leveraging Docker containers to test the functionality of our application due to their easy integration together. As well as take advantage of the Docker container’s easy regeneration process if an instance should fail. -Implemented Passport into Express.js server harnessing its ability to integrate through middleware. This established stronger security for Users on top of the Bcrypt hashing functionality for sensitive user information, while also providing options for Google OAuth2.0 or a Local Strategy in an effort to help streamline general authentication tasks. Finally, Passport allowed for establishing and persisting sessions. -Utilized Prometheus to expose the data from the Kubernetes cluster and serve metrics data to our application. -Incorporated GraphQL to manage API requests for our front-end development. This allowed for more expressive requests to the Prometheus tool (to retrieve specific metrics) while avoiding over/under fetching data as well as providing for a more scalable application. Prisma2 was integrated to help facilitate SQL queries to our database in unison with GraphQL API calls, while also leveraging the Prisma Client to auto-generate type-safe queries and schemas for Node.js. -Utilized Apollo to connect our graphQL schema to the HTTP server in Node. This allowed for better interaction with API requests (RESTful, GraphQL), and the ability to leverage Apollo Caching to improve the efficiency of both local and remote data. -Developed under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io). -Implemented React to organize/create component libraries for modularity and reliably control of unidirectionally data flow to both stateful & presentational components. -Used Express as a framework to handle HTTP and API requests, created a modular development environment to allow for seamless CRUD implementation in the stack, and constructed middleware design patterns to handle requests to the server with efficiency and modularity. -Utilized React Hooks API to properly serve local state when routing to presentational components in efforts to improve overall performance and modularize the codebase. -Created static routes with React Router, managed component data inheritance within the location prop, and minimized re-renders in an effort to improve performance. -Implemented the Web Speech API (Text-To-Speech) using Javascript's SpeechSynthesisUtterance method to provide preference when responding to users and to present accessibility to those who require or prefer it.
