Preparatory Year English Department, which aims to develop students’ English proficiency prior to their major degree. Liaise with a team of 40 teachers, organising schedules, sick coverage, student assessment, and ensuring that faculty members have curriculum and pacing information. Responsibilities include lesson planning and delivery, student assessment, and online input of attendance and grades. Fully experienced in teaching general English and ESP to all levels within the colleges of Medicine and Science. Member of Exam Committee; writing four exams per academic quarter for pre-intermediate students. Teaching adults off campus at a community college for independent companies. Lead role in coordinating a wide variety of school events including poetry, singing and spelling bee competitions, Halloween, Christmas and Chinese New Year parties.
