My role as a sales executive covers all sorts of areas. Firstly, customer is one my main priorities. Developing a good relationship and trust with a customer will only incur positive results. By developing these bonds with customers, I always ensure that I achieve excellent CSI, and more importantly customer retention. At my time in Bassetts, I have made incredible progress. With an extensive product knowledge I am able to talk with confidence and put customers at ease when doing a product walk around. With every vehicle I sell, I always ensure customers are aware and take out extras such as GardX, FSI, service / maintenance plans, etc. Day to day, I manage a CRM system. Each showroom, telephone, or web enquiry is recorded and monitored accordingly. I also manage web enquiries and cover management in their absence. This includes underwriting possible part exchanges, stacking deals, and building financial quotations for other sales staff. This has given me excellent leadership qualities and the best possible experience in self-decision making. I am also comfortable second faced customers for other Sales Executives to help close potential deals. In addition to this, I can use the online dialog system for ordering, taxing of news car and printing registration documents. I am also the DS Expert at Bassetts, which covers a lot of areas and additional responsibility. I make sure that the showroom stock is suitable with a number of different colours and trims to show customers. I regularly check the Citroen / DS online system STéFi for updates regarding the Citroen / DS range, and if there are changes I make sure all my fellow Sales Executives are aware of them. I have organised two 'Rhino' event for Bassetts by sending out 2000 VIP invites to current DS customers, which have been phenomenal successes; one resulting in 51 sales in just four days. Show less

My secondment role as a DS Ambassador was extremely diverse. My main responsibility was to coach and develop DS Experts within the Citroen & DS Automobiles network, and help build brand awareness. A notable achievement since beginning my role as a DS Ambassador was helping launch the New DS 3 to the network. I ran my own session on brand heritage and connected services, this was received by all the DS Champions and Sales Executives in the network, and some internal staff from head office. I also attended offsite events for dealers and the DS brand, such as launch of the New DS 3 in London’s Westfield shopping centre, and Howard’s Weston-super-mare’s New DS launch evening for their customers. I developed new skills during the role, such as writing and delivering a variety of training courses and developing my own delivering methods. My colleague and I also went to Singapore to launch the DS brand and two new vehicles for their market, the DS 4 Crossback and DS 5. Whilst we were there, we conducted three sessions to Citroen’s Singapore showroom. A very proud moment for myself, and the brand. During my role as a DS Ambassador, I was also responsible for the lead management for the DS 3 Performance BRM Chronographes Edition. There are only 39 of these remarkable models available in the world, ten of which are in the UK. I worked closely with Sales Executives in dealerships to secure customer orders, and was part of the first two orders in the world! Before leaving the role, I went on to help secure a third order. My role was to manage sales enquiries and workshop bookings by dealing with the customer in person, or via telephone and email. I also followed up sales leads by entering any potential customers into a diary, which was updated daily. I formulated appealing deals for the customer whilst still keeping the company’s profit margins in mind. I provided financial quotations working closely with each individual customer to identify which rate and term was most suitable. I regularly conducted vehicle appraisals by using the Glass’s guide and the HPI website. I also refer to various motor traders for underwrites if necessary. By using my vast IT skills and knowledge, I was responsible for developing and the management of the website. This involved me taking photos, writing detailed vehicle descriptions and phrasing the website to entice customers. I was in charge of the cars onto autotrader.co.uk and deal with the advertising directly with the South Wales evening post. I organised the taxing and pre-delivery inspections of sold vehicles. I also conducted all test drives and demonstrations for customers on collection of their new vehicle. Whilst at Brynhyfryd Car Sales, I designed an after sales system to generate more revenue for the business. To achieve this, I created a computer database that highlighted when a customer’s service / MOT was due. I then emailed, sent a letter, or contacted the customer via telephone to invite them in for a discounted service MOT. As a result of this, we gained a significant increase in workshop appointments. However, I still ensured the efficiency of the workshop by utilising a diary, and keeping a close relationship with the nearby MOT centre. Finally, I tended to the business accounts; this covered everything from closing monthly balances with motor factors to VAT breakdown on vehicle purchases and sales. I was left in complete control of the business, in absence of the director. Show less
