      Working as Careers Guidance Advisor I get the opportunity to work in a variety of schools to support them with their Careers Provision. I meet with students ranging from Year 7 to Year 13 on a daily basis to discuss their career aspirations/goals and establish what they feel they require in support and determine what support I feel they require also before going to work closely together to build confidence, knowledge and skills they will need to move forward onto College or into an apprenticeship/Traineeship opportunity. I also liaise with companies to provide students with a work placement opportunity which will allow students to generate experience and understanding of what is required in the world of work and what specific skills are required for their chosen pathway. In addition to individual student work, I also work closely with companies to come into our schools and deliver Careers interventions to either relevant students or whole year groups, which will allow all students the opportunity to know all opportunities they have for the future with as much information provided as possible.
