My current role within Bilfinger is to accurately estimate the mechanical disciplines of the work packages the company receives from clients, these packages or projects can range in value from small one off works to long term maintenance projects and on to multi million pound projects. I regularly conduct site visits to obtain a firm knowledge base for the works I plan to estimate and to eliminate as many assumptions as possible. As I work in the tendering department I also play a key role in the formation of the bidding documents and the supporting information ready for submission. These duties include the drafting of bid proposals, completion of schedules and rates and attending tender clarification meetings with the client

Junior Project Engineer

To support the project management team with the delivery of successful projects and maintenance works. My day to day duties included procurement of site materials to suit specified delivery dates, construction take offs from isometrics to develop fabrication and construction information required by the team and planning and tracking of the ongoing projects. I was also heavily involved in the safety practices on site carrying our numerous job specific safety walks, having an input in project HAZCON’S / JSA’S and maintaining site safety records and stats.
