In my time in the role, I am responsible for overseeing the work of all of the Regional Officers, who in turn oversee all of the various Station Managers from all the different regions of student radio. Whilst in the role, I am championing Community within Student Radio as much as I can. This has come in various different ways. So far, in order to acheive this, I have done the following;- I have introduced a Station Manager Discord Server that currently has 50+ Station Managers in, allowing more regular dialogue between Stations.- I have helped the Regional Officers to virtually match our total of members from our previous year, a huge feat given the on-going Pandemic.- I have organised a large amount of feedback sessions with each reason to find out how the SRA can be better and used that feedback to determine my goals in the year.- Worked closely with BBC Radio 1 to create the very first 'Radio 1 Masterclass' for the SRA with strong focus on helping students now and in the future, something members requested in feedback sessions.- Working on a variety of longer term projects to ensure more sustainable support from the SRA for Smaller Stations.

In this role, - I have interviewed Rick Simmonds as part of the SRA Digicon 2020- Set up a syndicate station to help stations that can't broadcast during lockdown as well as host weekly game nights for members to come too.- Helped organise training days, and conferences.Responsibilities:- Organising regional training days for South Student Radio Stations- Providing advice and support to SRA members within the South region- Recruiting new SRA members within the South region- Promoting the work of South SRA members through the SRA website and social media- Assisting with the planning of the National Student Radio Conference- Informing South SRA members of career opportunities and events

Whilst Station Manager, a small example of the things I have done include;- Increased our Social Media Presence through creating a brand for the station and increasing amount of engagement amongst members and alumni.- Sorted the Station being played out for the first time within the university on a regular basis.- Undergone a complete revamp of the studio, from repainting the whole studio to replacing all the equipment.- Overseen a growth in our social media engagement of over 100%.As well as this, we have gone on to win multiple awards from our university, and at a national level.Union Awards - Society of the Year, Best Development of a Society, Best Contribution to Student Media (Individual), Best Society Contribution to Charity Fundraising, Best Individual Contribution to Charity Fundraising, Event of the YearI Love Student Radio Awards - Most Improved Station, Best Station Culture, Most Outstanding Contribution to a Student Station (Individual) as well as shortlists in 6 other categories. I worked with UniWAVES to help them get stronger engagement within Student Radio as well as running their social media pages.In my time in the role, I tripled their following on Twitter and had over 30k impressions in the short period.

Elusion are an Escape Room company, based in Southampton. In my role as Games master, I was in charge of setting up and running the games whilst also making sure the guests felt comfortable and happy with what they were taking part in.
