  My main role has been to collect and review data at facilities that own underground storage tanks (USTs) in order to determine their compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. To accomplish this I conduct scheduled inspections, site visits during critical work effecting a UST system, and respond to incidents that involve said UST systems. My work also includes following up with facilities after having identified any violations to state or federal regulations to ensure they are back within, or taking the necessary steps to be within compliance. I am also trained on how to do ambient water quality monitoring and am able to identify when there is a possible issue in a major water body based on biological indicators or equipment readings. I am proficient at using the equipment, collecting samples, collecting data, recording said data, and disseminating information in a manner that is digestible to the public in both mediums (USTs and water quality).
