Wrote the research proposal and won $3000 research grant as a receipient of Global Scholar Award. Passed CITI training for human subject research and IRB review. Becomes the principal invesigator of this field research project. Have conducted participant observation and 50+ interviews with different stakeholders involved in community gardens in Beijing about their motivations, benefits, and challenges of participating community gardens.
