  Originally starting my work for Headstart as a freelancer, I eventually took up a full time position towards the end of 2013. 2010 - 2013: Freelance Activity Instructor, Event Crew, Warehouse & Logistical Support 2013 - 2015: Warehouse & Logistics Manager + Activity Instructor, Event Crew & Event Management experience gained. 2015 - 2021: Event Manager Duties and experience across all employment included: Liaising with clients to gain precise event requirements. Designing unique concepts from both verbal/ written briefs and creating custom proposals. Working closely with key stakeholders at every level of the business to ensure the effective delivery of events. Encouraging repeat business and revenue generation. Working closely with event organisers, while managing a large number of contractors to create a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all their needs. All aspects of planning and organisation relevant to; conferences, award shows, away days, product launches, team building & activity days, outdoor events, evening/dinner entertainment and client receptions. Liaising with high profile corporate clients, contract negotiation and procurement of suppliers; venues, catering, audio/visual, security & all equipment rental needs. Management of set design, graphic design & printing. Preparing promotional material & delegate packs. Maintaining a calendar of events for effective long term planning & management. Looking after accommodation, schedules, travel, day plans and registration procedures. Assisting venues with group rooms and banqueting processes & procedures. Writing risk assessments and method statements to cover all aspects of Health & Safety - including insurance coverage. Logistical planning, managing vehicles, drivers, load in/out times & procedures, parking, sub contractors. Creating load lists, preparing & fixing kit, loading/unloading vans, trucks and trailers. 8+ years experience of driving Luton vans, LWB vans and trailers. 3 years forklift experience. Show less
