I work on multiple REST-APIs written in Lumen (micro framework from Laravel), program various features that are used by our mobile apps. We recently migrated from Lumen to full Laravel and I'm also involved in upgrading our API's.   Graduation Project/Internship where I worked on a Serious Game in Virtual Reality, called 'Blokje Om'. The game is used to help children and people with a disability, who have been in an accident, to rehabilitate and get back into all day traffic. The game can be controlled by using a real electric wheelchair controller (which fits with their situation in the real world). During my internship I completely reworked the way traffic was handled inside the game, including A.I. of cars, pedestrians, etc. and the way traffic lights work and how everything interacts with eachother.   Internship for 3rd year of my Bachelor as Software Engineer. Worked on a system that parses random strings of text into generic formats by using Regex. Due to the relatively small scope of my assignment and quick resolution, I was asked to complete various other tasks in the Backend of the Applications. This was mostly creating or maintaining endpoints in REST-APIs PHP and Lumen (micro framework from Laravel) that were used by mobile applications. At the end of the internship period, I was converted into a flex worker (0 hour contract) which allowed me to stay active at RosterBuster for a few days per week, next to finishing my last year of College.
