  I have been performing as a freelance musician in a wide variety of styles as both a trumpet player and a percussionist and vocalist. Some groups I have performed professionally with include Debo Band, The Superpowers, Full Tang, Rubblebucket, Khaira Arby, Mighty Sam McClain. As a performer I have played many of the premier venues and festivals across the United States and Canada including New Orleans Jazz Festival, Bonnaroo, Montreal Jazz Festival, Lowell Folk Festival, Kennedy Center, Jordan Hall, and Vancouver Folk Festival. I have maintained my own private instruction studio teaching brass, drums and percussion, piano, guitar and voice. I have also taught group lessons and in the classroom as a general music teacher for K-5 in the Boston Public Schools in addition to being a guest lecturer at music schools and universities. Some highlights include: Guest educator at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music in Kabul, Clinician at The Artists’ Collective in Hartford, CT, Introduction to Ethiopian Music master class at Keene St. College in Keene, NH.
