My role encompassed elements of more traditional marketing and taking feedback from the sales team to develop a GTM strategy, and inbound user acquisition strategy. This including technical content production, "content marketing", and elements of data-led PR which was featured on websites and in publications such as Computer Weekly, Wired, CPO Magazine, and on various regional BBC radio shows. Whilst at Anchor I developed their email marketing to include a number of automation programs for when users opt-in to the database, AB testing for promotional email sends and developed queries so sends were more targeted. Email sends varied in volume (from 200 to 55,000) and were targeting both consumer and B2B audiences. I developed Anchor’s social media strategy to enhance the organisations presence and reach on Facebook and Twitter as well as introduced the brand to Instagram and FourSquare. Within Facebook I lead a project implementing the Parent/Child Framework giving Anchor a Facebook location page for each of it’s 1000 locations. I then set about a related project delivering social media training to location based operations colleagues, giving them the basic tools to use Twitter to market their locations within their local communities, at the time of me leaving there were 110 locations active on Twitter achieving over 250,000 impressions per month. I also supported the North region for Anchor (approximately 200 locations from Liverpool to Newcastle) with their marketing activities. This involved me in collateral production, assisting with event marketing and writing action plans (including Gantt and RACI charts), press releases and show flats. Show less
