At Mullen Design Co, I leverage my creative eye and excellent copywriting skills in a new realm of design - upscale residential remodels. My main tasks involve showcasing owner Morgan's exceptional design work and lifestyle content, and enhancing MDC's online presence. Marketing Manager/Event Planner
-
Jan 2017 - Jun 2020
Escondido Brewing Company was a family passion project led by my husband and his award-winning brewer friend, Ketchen Smith. My daily objectives at EBC included managing an ever-changing schedule of events and food trucks, developing relationships with other breweries and vendors, supporting the busy schedules of the owners, planning & hosting large-scale pop-up events, rapidly replying to customer emails/reviews, maintaining our website and social media platforms, and being available at a moment's notice to address any time sensitive issues with a calm, positive energy. Escondido Brewing Company was the perfect environment for me to excel in many areas - the eerie enjoyment I find in flawlessly managing the back-end admin side of a business (emails, calendars, vendor relationships, customer service, problem solving, etc), my passion for detail & organization, investing in our local community, and the joy I find in bringing people's wildest dreams to life. Account Director
-
Aug 2015 - Mar 2016
Over my five plus years at Breedlove, where we grew from a studio of two working from a home in Encinitas, to an agency of around 10 with a main headquarters in the Financial District of Manhattan, I wore many hats – executive assistant, operations manager, human resources manager, project manager, design manager, and account director. As the account director, I managed the daily tasks of a team of a designers, all aspects of a dozen clients with up to 45 simultaneous projects, some having over $1 million dollar budgets that spanned calendars of 12 months or more. I was also integrally involved in proposal and agreement development, and new account development. My day-to-day tasks also included creative concept and messaging development, campaign rollout ideation and execution, and design direction. Of all my many roles, my creatively-oriented contributions stand out as the highlights of my time with the agency. Most of my tenure with Breedlove was in a remote capacity, which required strategic self-direction, strong team leadership, and advanced communication skills. What I loved most about working in the creative industry was that every day was different and challenging, and that we were turning passionate people’s dreams into real, tangible things. Show less

Design Manager
-
Jun 2011 - Aug 2015
As Breedlove's design manager, I was responsible for the management of people and processes necessary in the development of design projects. My role involved design organization responsibility including staff coaching; managing internal and external design resources; project and budget management; and ensuring customer requirements are met.Unofficially, I was also informally serving as the Operations Manager, HR Manager, and Executive Assistant to the President. In August, 2015, my position was restructured to allow a singular focus on my most valuable contribution to the agency - account direction and project management. Show less
