Here I worked within the Supply Chain Department within various teams. I mainly worked with the MRP buying team where I assisted in buying parts for OPT’s as well as communicating directly with suppliers, customers and freight forwarders as well as working on projects. However, I also worked closely with Logistics where I assisted in packing, and shipping parts not only from the office in Northcote but also organising shipments overseas, as well as creating SLI’s, updating and maintaining Shipping Registers and other shipping records. I helped within the Administration team by updating systems, fixing our Shipping Register, inputting Barcodes into systems, as well as creating comparison charts. I assisted with stock check and also assisted in training 2 people within the team, one of which who was going to be taking over what I was doing within the MRP buying team for once my internship was complete. Throughout the internship I was able to use many different systems including CRM, ERP and MRP systems such as Syspro.
