Danielle Evansic is an amazing teacher! As the advisor to our FIRST Robotics Team in Tehachapi, she has her students build robots that are at an industry standard for technology and engineering. She is forward-thinking and has built the STEM programs within the district so that there are coding and robotics opportunities as all schools. She is an amazing grant writer, and brings in funding to assist with innovative projects for our students. My favorite quote from Danielle, "This is important, because our students are not going into the future to build a robot; they are going into the future to solve the problems of the future." I had the pleasure of interacting with Danielle Evansic during the High School Innovation Challenges which I supported while working as an Engineer at Northrop Grumman. It was obvious to me that her students hold her in high esteem and equally evident how much she really cares about her students! Ms. Evansic invited me to see some of the competitions and practices which she supports on her own time. She works tirelessly to inspire her students to grow and succeed. She provides an environment that is extremely conducive to learning and innovation. Ms. Evansic has excellent communications skills, and looks for ways to motivate students to innovate. I was extremely impressed and happy at the way that she interacts with her students and fellow teachers. She is very friendly and accommodating always trying to do her best to educate and lead. Ms. Evansic is a fantastic role model and encourages all her student to be the best. I highly recommend Ms. Evansic for leadership and management roles and also for areas where she can continue to lead, inspire, and educate.

High School STEM Teacher
-
Jul 2019 - Sep 2021
I taught High School PLTW Pre-Engineering courses, including Introduction to Engineering Design; Principles of Engineering; Computer Integrated Manufacturing; and Engineering Design and Development. From March 2020 through June 2021, this work was completed completely through distance learning. I met with students regularly in virtual classrooms using video conferencing software. I researched and integrated the best curriculum, supplements, and supports for maintaining student engagement and achievement. Similarly, I collaborated with my peers to evaluate student success and develop strategies to reach all students throughout this unique and novel educational environment. Show less

As the STEM TOSA for Tehachapi Unified School District, I supported teachers of all grade levels in integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics into their curricula. I ran professional development sessions for TK-12 teachers in Math and Science, and assisted in professional development for English Language Arts and Response to Intervention teachers. After securing grant funding from the Air Force Research Labs of Edwards Air Force Base, I introduced the Picture Perfect STEM curriculum to our elementary schools. After a successful pilot of the curriculum, teachers expanded the program with more lessons in the 2018-19 school year. I also coordinated our California School Dashboard, CA Healthy Kids Survey implementation and reporting, and our LCAP reporting. Show less
