After my time serving in Order Entry, I was given the opportunity to expand my career at Western Paper into the Supplier Management Department as an Item Specialist. As an Item Specialist, you are responsible for doing sourcing requests or “quotes for sales reps.” These are what our sales reps will use to either pitch items to existing customers or to win over new prospects to our company. Other tasks include basic item maintenance projects with other departments to make sure our system is up to date. As well as updating items that suppliers inform us of directly that have changed or that have been discontinued, ext. I was even able to continue a portion of my Netlink/Network experience in this new opportunity with “linking” items into our system for our said Network customers such as Whole Foods and Sprouts. I personally also am responsible for ordering all of company’s office supplies for all of our locations. Which are located in CO, NM, and AZ. This also includes ordering business cards for certain members of our company. Show less

Western Paper Distributors has expanded my customer service knowledge in a difference field that I have ever experienced. I first started with the company on the Order Entry team as the WebOE Processor. I was responsible for processing their online orders that customers would place on the company’s website. I would also assist with special requests for those said orders. Next, I was moved into the Front Desk position. In this role I was responsible for pushing orders into a specific system where other team members would then enter the orders. I also would assist with potential new hires with assisting them fill out their applications and taking the appropriate testing for said position. From there I moved into the Netlink/Network role. This role is very high in volumes and deals with some of our biggest customer such as Sprouts and Whole Foods. In this role I was responsible for processing anywhere from 300-800 orders a day depending on volume. I would also have to know certain rules and fees per customer due to their contracts and working with the Sales Reps. directly. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far at Western Paper and am excited to learn more within the company. Show less

Working for Express-Scripts definately challenged me with customer service. It was a very rewarding position in my employment history. My duties consist of answering patients questions with thier prescription coverages and place orders if needed. I personally was specialized in two types of accounts. I also assisted pharmacies if they needed assistance with processing a prescription for the patient. Also informed callers of any changes to their plan if needed. Callers could also make payments if needed as well for their prescriptions. Show less

Berkey Filters is the number one water filtrations system. I started with Berkey Filters after leaving Staples as a Team Supervisor. My main responsibility was making sure excellent customer service was being applied every day. I would answer customer emails, chats, and phone calls. Also help the customer with any questions they had on their products. Working for Berkey Filters was a nice change of pace for me. IT was a different type of customer service that i really did enjoy, and you love to do again Show less

When I started at Staples I was a cashier, and about 2-3 months into my position I was asked if I would be interested in a management position. Since my training for becoming a Team Supervisor, I understand that team work, being accountable, and being an overall example for my fellow employees is what really drives me. I'm still learning new qualities and responsibilities every day that will more than help me in whatever career path I choose. I started working for Wal-Mart right out of high school. I started as a cashier and was asked by my store manager to help in store remodels in other Wal-marts around our area. I worked in two other Wal-marts in these store remodels and from there was asked if I would like to move to another position in the store when the remodels were complete. I moved into the electronics department where I was trained in so much more than I ever thought. Thats when I really got the feel of what major companies were like and how they were ran, and from then on I was always learning new things. Even being asked to be a department manager for a certain time period. Show less
