  Population: HIV positive, substance users; some with dual diagnoses Facilitated two Art Therapy groups-Trauma Focused: planned and facilitated a trauma focused group that uncovered unconscious links to past traumas including sexual assault, death of loved ones,etc. and created a safe space for clients to positively create and cope.-Substance Use Focused: created and implemented a substance use focused group that allowed clients to recognize and change their negative triggers into positive behaviors. Facilitated two substance abuse verbal groups- Square One: support group that allowed clients to talk about their victories and struggles over the past week, month, or year focused mostly on the use of substances. It was important to create a safe space for clients to share with one another, and allow them to relate and support. -Relapse Prevention: brought in psycho-educational information for clients in the beginning stages of recovery, where together we learned positive coping skills, identifying triggers, and seeing how relationships played a role in their recovery
