During my first year at university, I worked for Danielle at the Kurt Geiger concession in House of Fraser. Danielle was very thorough and clear about what she wanted me to do during my shift and what my targets were. She was a great manager that had plenty of knowledge on the brand to hand out and help if needed. It was a pleasure working for Danielle and I hope the best for her in the future.

Working for Kurt Geiger has been an amazing experience, it has brought me back into fashion retailing which I have great passion for and has allowed me to fulfil a much more demanding role in managing my own team and concession. I have managed to take on skills learnt from both high end fashion retailing and also incredibly busy makeup environments to create a successful concession team within the Topshop Nottingham store. I have currently been promoted to Branch Manager to the brand new House of Fraser concession in Nottingham and have been dual site managing for both sites whilst training the new manager to take over from my previous role.Below is a list of my duties and key skills that I have achieved whilst working for Kurt Geiger. I started out with Kiko as a Supervisor/Key holder and was promoted very early on. allowing me to take on a more hands on Management role, which has been a great challenge and something that I further wish to pursue. Kiko are finally trying to create a new beauty concept within the beauty industry, ‘to rewrite the rules of cosmetics: quality is no longer synonymous with high prices, professional luxury is an exciting reality you can touch.’ This has been something that has really inspired me, as I believe everyone no matter where they come from should all be treated with the highest of quality and respect. I have the pleasure of meeting people from all walks of life and hoping that they all leave with the same feeling of happiness and fulfilment.Duties:• Monitoring stock, figures, trends and purchases (best sellers, slow sellers)• Making sure the shop floor runs smoothly• Making sure to store is hitting targets• Recruitment and training of staff• Dealing with enquiries and Costumer complaints• Customer service• Rotas• Merchandising• Successfully promoting sales and special offers• Managing deliveries and making sure they comply with timings and quality standards• Monitoring sales activity• Visual merchandising store and making sure it complies with Kiko standardsKey skills• Excellent commercial awareness• Great communications• Can work under pressure• Responsible• Passionate• Great Problem solving skills as I aim to always achieve the best outcome in any situation• Leadership• Analytical and Numerical skills• Confidence• Excellent organisational skills with both planning and prioritising my work• A creative mind set• Adaptable at working both individually or as a team • Good computer skills• An enthusiasm to gain knowledge and experience within the work place to better myself. • Great organisation skills to ensure a team of 13 runs smoothly. • Recruiting and training
