As a Development Intern, I have been focusing on Hillel at Binghamton's donor engagement and increasing donor outreach. To increase engagement, I revived the Hillel at Binghamton Newsletter and evolved it to a monthly publication as well as publishing it on various platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook to reach a wider audience. When Giving Tuesday and Global Giving Week, our two biggest fundraising pushes, happen I am focused on creating content and reaching out to our donors through texting and calling campaigns. I work within Hillel International's guidebooks for scripts and social media templates and alter them to fit the needs of our chapter. In 2022, I introduced Slydial to the organization's Giving Tuesday campaign. For that year, I was in charge of the Slydial and Text-To-Give scripts and execution leading us to raise over $6,000 in 24 hours from these campaigns alone. Another focus of mine is to incorporate students with the new initiative Mid-Week Mensch which highlights a student that Hillel Staff notices going above and beyond whether it is through program attendance or showing initiative of leadership by joining a board, or even assisting and volunteering at events. I joined Make-A-Wish Metro New York as the Development Intern in June 2022. I was part of the Donor Care Team, mainly working with the Mid-Level portfolio. My main tasks involved stewardship and donor research, but I also helped with batch tracking, major donor care, corporate donor care, community fundraising, and the When the Stars Align Gala. This role allowed me to gain valuable experience and skills in the nonprofit sector and to contribute to the mission of granting wishes to children with critical illnesses. Show less

The Longest Day is the Alzheimer's Association's fundraising program during the summer. As a Community Developmenter, I reached out to local businesses to inform them of the Longest Day and gauged their interest in involvement. When a business showed they were interested, I provided them with the information necessary for them to get involved, whether it was to create a team or donate supplies to those participating. I called the current TDL participants to thank them for their interest as well as provided them with additional support to start, continue, or wrap up their program. As the summer winded down, my focus shifted towards ramping up for the 2022 Longest Day and sought out consistent and top participants as well as made note of the previous participants who stated they wanted to become more involved to see if they wanted to be a part of the board for the upcoming year. I presented information on the interest meetings and what the position entailed as well as ensuring they knew we appreciated the work they have done and wanted them to help others be just as successful. For the month of January I researched New Jersey High School, College, and University contact information. I created forms and letters to be sent to local schools informing them about the Fight to End Alzheimer's as well as how they can get involved. With the introduction of the new fundraising initiative, the 1998 League, I was a part of the outreach team to encourage sisters and alumni to sign up. I was given a list of 3 chapters contact information and reached out informing them of the League and how they can be a Founding Mother. I made connections with the sisters and alumni about chair positions, sisterhood relations, and why we joined Sigma as well as what more we wanted to see from the organization. After each meeting, I updated the spreadsheet about the call and whether the sister wanted to sign up or not. For those that showed interest, I followed up to see if they needed any assistance signing up for the League. Show less
