The Women’s Club (TWC) is a member-based cultural club in Sydney. The Club was founded by women for women in 1901 by a group of women including Rose Scott and Dr Mary Booth. TWC aims to be a safe and convivial space that promotes a culture of learning, shared interests and fellowship among women from all walks of life. It is a trusted Club run by women for women. It celebrates women and their many-faceted achievements. It attracts women active in the community, the professions, the arts and public life. It is affiliated with similar clubs, both nationally and internationally. Country members find it a convenient and congenial base to stay in the city. The Women’s Club contributes to Sydney’s night-time economy through a public-facing events program, diverse cultural programming, and partnerships including, but not limited to, the Rose Scott Women Writers’ Festival, the Women in Music series, the Women in Wine series, and various other public lectures and social events for the community. Our Vision is to be a welcoming space for every woman. Our Mission is to promote culture and fellowship amongst women from all walks of life. We strive to support women through the different stages of their lives with Club as a supportive space for social, intellectual, professional and creative well-being. We enrich women’s lives through lively and informed discussion on many topics including the arts, the sciences and public affairs, and take pride in promoting women’s contributions to these fields. We provide these events and services with compassion and determination to benefit all our members and their guests.

The McKell Institute is a progressive research institute dedicated to providing practical and innovative solutions to contemporary policy challenges. It engages members, business, academic, non-for-profit and individuals to produce R&D and broker relationships through engaging forums. My role supported the CEO with the organisations's operations and external engagement. I was responsible for executing all events in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne including but not limited to executive boardroom luncheons, thought leadership series eg. report launches, book launches and hosting of Government officials and international leaders alike; responsible for annual membership and managing stakeholders; producing the Annual Review and developing new ways we can engage with audiences such as the McKell Institute Digital Event series. I managed a team including the Events and Operations Officer and Communications Officer. Together, we delivered the communications and social media strategy. Some major events include Policy Address with former Chair of Hillary Clinton's US Campaign John Podesta, former Secretary to the US Treasury and Professor Emeritus Harvard University Lawrence H. Summers, Nobel prize winning economist and Professor Joseph Stiglitz, UK Shadow Chancellor Rt. Ed Balls PC as well as the McKell Institute Digital Event Series with Malcolm Turnbull and Ambassador Samantha Power. Other areas of which I supported included driving the strategy behind the Cultural and Creative Industries Public Policy Series and Technology and Communications Public Policy Series. I facilitated a series of roundtable focussing on the creative industries with Mike Mrdak AO, former Secretary to the Dept. of Communications and the Arts, Damien Miller, Assistant Secretary of the Soft Power, Partnerships and Research Branch at DFAT and Dr Larry Marshall, Chief Executive of CSIRO. Please find attached two annual reviews I produced during my time at the Institute.

      · Provided support to Betty Amsden OAM and the 3MBS Ambassadors’ Circle. The role was integral to the development of the ideas and strategy behind the early Radiothon fundraiser drive, worked with five other team members and volunteers. · Major events managed included Classically Melbourne Concert at the Arts Centre with Orchestra Victoria, Musical Portraits on Air, the Melbourne International Jazz Festival Opening at Federation Square and the 3MBS Young Performer Award. · The 3MBS Young Performer Award was a proud achievement as it was the first large-scale event earlier in my career to test my project management skills as well as public relations, budgeting and risk analysis. · Managed the station’s On Air Magazine including the editorial and content for three Libretto pages – Out There, Our Space and Young Maestros.
