As a researcher in the Robotics and Rehabilitation (Roar) lab, I designed and evaluated a robotic platform for assisting and training overground walking. I have spearheaded this project from the initial prototype to evaluation through data collection with individuals with gait needs. By conducting experiments that rigorously answer specific scientific questions, I have contributed to the scientific field of rehabilitation robotics and have experience compiling and representing complex data in digestible ways. Key achievements throughout my time as a Roar Lab researcher: - Created two robotic platforms for overground gait - Collected kinematic, physiological, and gait data from over 40 individuals - Collaborated with 5 clinical experts to motivate the needs and specifications of robotic platforms - Mentored over 15 students through independent research projects - Taught over 150 students as a Course Assistant, holding weekly office hours and recitations Show less

Aug 2016 - Apr 2017
While pursuing my Master's at Columbia University, I was selected for the National Science Foundation S-STEM Sustainable Engineering GradUatE (SEGUE) Scholars Program. During this full year program, I partnered with the Robotics and Research Lab to design custom motor housings for a robotic gait training device for children with Cerebral Palsy. During this time, I also led a small group of underrepresented high school students in a project along with the Harlem Business Improvement District to research and design a sustainable engineering initiative to improve the Harlem area. 3D Printer Technician
-
May 2015 - Aug 2016
While working at Sciperio as a Research Technician, I was first introduced to research in a formal setting. I contributed to 4 main projects, advancing additive manufacturing at a micron level. By combining additive manufacturing with conductive paste deposition, pick and place, and milling technologies, I tuned parameters to ensure quality of 10+ deliverables. Key achievements while working as a 3D Printer Technician: - Manufactured a printed circuit board that output real time data using fused deposition modeling, conductive paste deposition, and pick and place surface mounting at 100 micron scale - Designed custom printer attachments with two lenses to control laser focal points - Implemented CNC milling to ensure tight part tolerances of 50-100 microns for custom deliverable - Coauthored 1 paper published in RAPID conference proceedings Show less

Aug 2015 - May 2016
During my last year of undergrad at the University of Central Florida, I applied for and was accepted to a Lockheed Martin sponsored project as my full-year senior design project. As a mechanical engineering senior, I led two design sub-teams for a fixed-wing vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) plane. Key achievements during this full-term project included: - Led 2 teams responsible for electronics and variable pitch subassemblies for fixed-wing airplane design - Designed and fabricated subsystem to rotate motors 90 degrees allowing vertical take-off and landing capabilities - Managed a 9-month timeline and $3000 budget for a team of 5 engineers for a Lockheed Martin sponsored project Show less

Specialty Engineering CWEP Student
-
Apr 2013 - Aug 2015
As an Engineering student in the College Work Experience Program (CWEP), I worked on the Apache Specialty Engineering Team, specializing in Maintainability and Reliability. I looked through failure report data from Field Engineers and implemented Report Compiling and Trend Analysis. Once I identified a failure trend, I designed and implemented Corrective Actions to minimize risk of repeated failures. I also maintained inventory of an Apache lab space used by 3 teams, ensuring strict government regulations be followed. Key achievements while working as a Specialty Engineer: - Compiled 50+ weekly failure reports and identified trends with associated potential savings - Presented performed Risk Assessment to specialty engineering team of 10 as well as upper management - Designed and deployed a custom part that quickly checked cable tolerances to 5 field locations - Documented custom tool for Trend Analysis and Risk Reporting of Apache data - Inventoried lab used by 3 teams to ensure strict government and company standards Show less
