To ensure that patients are booked into the correct theatre with the correct consultant and the relevant paperwork is sent out to the patient with regards to admission times and fasting time. To book the correct type of pre-assessment appointment for the patient depending on age and anaesthetic type. To order the theatre lists dependent on consultant preference.
