I've had the pleasure of working with Daniel as a colleague in the Autodesk reseller channel for 10 years. Daniel is always willing to provide his valued perspective on the AEC industry. Daniel is a principal at US CAD and our companies have worked cooperatively to support mutual clients and to share and collaborate on multiple projects. I have always found Daniel to be extremely knowledgeable of the AEC industry, the Autodesk solutions, and the Autodesk channel programs.       Backyard Harvest designed and built complete organic herb, fruit, and vegetable gardens for the home gardener using the Square Foot Gardening (SFG) method. I developed multiple raised-bed product lines, developed efficient, repeatable, manufacturing processes, and developed pricing schedules to ensure profitability. I developed the and sales marketing strategy, the web site, marketing materials, and customer presentations. Performed lead generation activities, trade shows, seminars, created customer lists, performed phone and in person needs analysis, on site visits, garden layout plans and quotations. Followed leads through the sales process, to convert them to customers. Performed invoicing, vendor and employee. payment, taxes, and bookkeeping. I built the raised beds, mixed custom soil blends, performed the garden installations, provided on-site mentoring services helping customers to learn, use, and succeed, at growing organic produce at home with the SFG method. Each project was profitable, and I created very happy and successful customers, I was unable to develop a large enough volume of sales to ensure long term success and financial viability.       Already established in the industry, I was recruited by U.S. CAD, L.A. CAD at the time, in 1999 as an AutoCAD Technical Specialist to help grow their business within the Building Design and Construction industry. As a Technical Specialist, I performed product presentations, and demonstrations to Building Design and Construction professionals and helped A/E/C customers implement Autodesk technology into their process through a customized mix of training, consulting, and support services. I worked closely with Autodesk keeping up to date with the latest AutoCAD and Autodesk products. Time not working with prospects, customers, or Autodesk was spent in a learning new versions, applications. 5 years later, U.S. CAD became the largest Autodesk Reseller in Southern California, one of the largest in the U.S. During this time, in recognition of my contributions, I was promoted to Vice President leading the Building Solutions division and partner in the company. As Vice President, I set the strategic direction of the division. As a partner, I participated in all aspects of running a growing business. Strategic planning, resource allocation, staffing, and management. I maintained and grew our relationship with Autodesk, evaluating complimentary and emerging technologies to expand our portfolio of products and services. Along with my Vice President role, I remained active as a Technical Specialist, providing implementation and consulting services to A/E/C firms throughout the Building Design industry. Even running the division, I never divorced myself from my passion, helping customers succeed in their use of CAD and BIM technology. When Autodesk introduced Building Information Modeling with Revit, I quickly embraced the BIM philosophy and technologies, refocusing the Building Solutions division to helping our customers in the Building Design and Construction industry to adopt and succeed with Revit and BIM.
