      -The main areas of my research interest at the moment are in human factors in aviation, situational awareness and cognitive functioning of pilots and UAV operators-I am part of a multidisciplinary team within the Department of Aviation and Maritime Medicine, where we provide theoretical training on topics related to aviation medicine and psychology to healthcare workers who are employed within the Bulgarian Air Force, aviators, psychologist and more. -In 2022 I became an official member of the Bulgarian Society of Aviation, Navy and Space Medicine. I also became a member of the Organization committee for the 13th Conference of aviation, maritime and space medicine. My duties as a member of the committee included creating poster designs, invitations, sending out e-invites, collaborating with sponsors for the event, on-site registration of attendees and more. I received a certificate and an award for my active participation and contribution.-In 2022, I also worked on a project ran by the Space research and technology institute in Bulgaria. I collected data regarding emotional and cognitive states of individuals operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using an alternative EEG technology - EMOTIV EPOC+. I was also responsible for data management and statistical analysis using Excel. I was a co-author to 4 published articles focused on matters such as: UAV operators visual attention distribution, evaluation of UAV operators’ situational awareness and more.

      I joined a team of researchers who worked with a smartphone application called Urban Mind, which helped examine the effects of city life on one's mental wellbeing. As a Research Assistant I recruited participants, collected and entered data on SPSS with over 500 variables per participant, I conducted clinical interviews with healthy control and ultra-high risk of psychosis participants and shadowed interviews with first episode of psychosis participants.
