My duties included: - collaboration in the development of design solutions during the partecipation in the competition 'Plastic Monument' for YAC (Young Architects Competition) and 2D drawing of the project; - collaboration in the development of design solutions for the extension of a typical Victorian house and renovation of the entire building; I was mainly involved in processing two solutions for the bathroom area, at first through concepts and hand sketches, and then moving on to designing plans, elevations and sections with Vectorworks, in order to choose the most convincing proposals to show to the client; - collaboration in the development of design solutions for the project of an entire house in Bolivia, in Santa Cruz; my role was to find solutions about the design both of the exterior (pool, exterior kitchen) and the enterior (kitchen, master bedroom, children bedrooms, bathrooms, guest bathroom, gym changing room) through 2D drawings in Vectorworks, 3D models in Sketchup and renderings with Vray; also I prepared an Indesign document with all the solutions and drawings to show to the client via Skype; - preparation and layout of a Brochure containing information and material relating to the projects carried out over the years by the RDD Architetcure studio; - collaboration in the development of design solutions for a complete renovation and extension of a two-story terraced house with a garden; measurement surveying of the house and working on 3 solutions regarding the ground floor layout through the design of plans, sections and the 3D model. The Solar Decathlon Middle East (SDME) is a collegiate competition challenges students to design, build, operate solar powered houses and integrates unique local and regional characteristics. All proposals focused on solving the issues and needs for the sustainable living in the Middle East, where are high temperatures, high humidity and dust condition. My duties included: - collaboration in the development of design solutions; - integration of the production specifications of the different technical elements in the project drawings; - research and study of the technical characteristics of the different materials and products provided by the companies participating in the project; - drawing up and layout of the project documents relating to the delivery no. 6 (about 100 A3 tables); - preparation and layout of the Brochure and other information material related to the project; - management of TEAM social pages (facebook, instagram, etc.). The workshop "Ostia Autumn School 2015" focused on the recovery of strategic areas and poles to enhance the unique character of a reality that has inside beaches, archaeological areas, agricultural landscape and quality buildings. As a participant, I was called to enhance the existing heritage and to provide new ideas for the city of Rome to recover its relationship with the sea. At the end of the workshop each team produced a video to explain their project idea. I acquired the ability to work in a large team, with great professionals in the world of architecture. I learned the basics of editing and creating videos, to manage the assigned tasks independently and to compare myself with colleagues. My role was to assist with building surveys, conduct site visits to determine compliance with construction documents, identify any deviations, and draw new floor plans to ensure adherence to project documents, jurisdiction codes and control of quality, in order to proceed with any renovation or expansion works.
