Synthesis of dual-responsive ABA triblock copolymers, based on poly(oligo(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate) (POEGMA), poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (P4VP), and poly(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) (PDMAEMA). In addition to the experience acquired with radical controlled polymerization, such as RAFT and ATRP, I also studied the phase behavior, self-assembly, and solution behavior of POEGMA-b-P4VP-b-POEGMA and POEGMA-b-PDMAEMA-b-POEGMA copolymers at different temperatures, pH, and concentrations. Experiences in characterization techniques, such as light scattering (DLS and SLS), cryo electronic microscopy (cryo-EM), 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), diffusion-ordered NMR spectroscopy (DOSY), size exclusion chromatography (SEC), UV/Vis spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
