NCM is a non-profit news organization with a diverse Collective of 200+ reporters who bring underrepresented immigrant perspectives to Canadian media. As the Special Projects Coordinator, I work with the Publisher and Assignments Editor to help conceptualize, develop and coordinate innovative projects for NCM. Responsibilities include:- Conceptualizing project ideas and writing funding proposals.-Collaboratively planning and implementing projects such as the NCM-Walrus journalist training series and the Digital Citizen project with NCM team members. -Tracking project deliverables and compiling funder reports.- Editing stories.-Developing partnerships with like-minded organizations and individuals.
