Daniel Rojas Céspedes
I first met Daniel Víquez in 2015 when he was an Animation Student at Veritas. It was my pleasure to be one of the tutors for his Graduation project. Daniel has been passionate about 2D animation since before I met him. The spark of great talent was already there. I only nourished it and helped him direct that passion toward professional endeavors. When the opportunity arose, we offered him a job at Rocket Cartoons. Daniel's talent and skills grew as we worked through client work and original IP. He rose from a junior to a fully-fledged animation director with patience, hard work, and an insatiable desire to improve. His cheerfulness was critical to project success and made work even more enjoyable. Daniel Víquez is one of the best 2D animators I know. I've seen him do everything, from cut-out animation in Adobe Animate to traditional animation in Harmony. He's shown great adaptability to different styles as well. From the fast passed humor of shows like Bunnicula to more serious hand-drawn animation like CBC's Olympic Breakthroughs, Víquez can do it all. I am happy to recommend Daniel Víquez for Senior Animator, Lead Animator, or Animation Supervisor roles. Any 2D animation team would be lucky to have a talent like his among them.
