Daniel Stadtmann and I worked for 3,5 years closely together in the Emerging Markets team at Garmin Europe. Before Daniel joined our team as the Emerging Markets Product Manager, our markets in Eastern Europe have suffered of little product and localization support, which often not met fully the requirements of the local markets. This changed with Daniel coming on board. He thoroughly assessed and prioritized the needs per each country, build projects and kept on pushing our product management and engineer teams in EMEA and the HQ to deliver the right product set fitting our market needs. With his dedication, his communication and negotiation skills, his hands-on mentality he helped our business in the region of Eastern Europe and the whole Emerging Markets to become more professional and grow significantly, in sales and profits. His knowledge and experience in marketing helped improving our marketing support to the Eastern European offices and business partners substantially, by raising internally awareness of critical needs of our local markets as well as leading projects to raise Garmin’s brand awareness, launching products, speaking at dealer and press conferences or attending trade shows. Daniel has a sharp mind, understands quickly potential challenges, creates solutions and communicates these clearly. He continuously set very high goals for himself and the service he wanted to give to the company and customers and he continuously achieved these goals. I always enjoyed our discussions as Daniel brought great value to it. Even if we haven’t always had the same opinion, we consistently found a balanced and common strategy on how to approach projects. Daniel is a great team player, I really appreciated working, creating and building business together with Daniel. He is an excellent manager with a great set of skills, which can be important for any company.

In my career at Garmin, Daniel and I worked together for a few years, both as Product Managers. Daniel was Product Manager for the Emerging Markets and was interfacing with me on matters regarding cartography and other content for his territory. Daniel has always been very pleasant to work with. He is detailed, knowledgeable and proactive, so working with him was constantly challenging, but in a good way, as Daniel was able to bring new exciting topics to the table each time. During the time he worked as Product Manager, he has always shown reliability and excellent engaging skills. He then moved into the direction of the Marketing Team at Garmin Germany, so we lost contact from a business perspective. He is friendly, team oriented and sociable, which makes him a great colleague during and out of office hours. I believe he can be a great asset for any company looking for someone with his personable and professional skills.
