    • EMT-B
      • Jul 2013 - Present

As an EMT I gained a whole new level of customer service experience. The standpoint of meeting a 'customer' when they are typically having 'the worst day of their life' is an interesting one. I was constantly presented with a challenge of understanding what it was my patient (customer) needed, how to relate to them on a personal level, keep them calm and at the same time take care of their medical emergency. I also gained a new sense of responsibility in that I was trusted with safeguarding an Ambulance and all of its sensitive material within. I was in charge of restocking and supplying all of the tools and equipment necessary to complete emergency care at any given time. It was quite the daunting task. I learned how to be more prepared for any situation, always to think 10 steps ahead of a potential problem. Show less

    • Network Installation Technician
      • Aug 2011 - Jan 2013

As a Network Installation Technician for INSCOM, Ft Belvoir, Virginia, I gained most of my experience building networks. My 8 man team was in charge of networking secure buildings throughout the United States for the Army. I became a certified installer through the BIC Course at Ft Huachuca, Arizona. It was in this job that I gained my knowledge and experience installing CAT5, Fiber Optic Cable, AC/DC power, understanding blue prints and how to construct network racks. I have experience installing switches, routers, and network hubs from a physical standpoint. I have much experience using network test equipment, mainly Fluke test sets, as well as working knowledge and experience of all hand tools and power tools. During my time on this team with INSCOM, I was in charge of the well being of two other soldiers as their team leader. I was in charge of their health and welfare, finances, and especially their schedules. Show less

    • Microwave Systems Operator/Maintainer
      • 2008 - 2013

As a soldier in the United States Army I wore many hats. I worked for the 86th Signal Battalion, Ft Huachuca, Arizona, as a Command Group Administrative Assistant/Driver. I worked directly for the Commander of Troops, Colonel Paul Craft. I was his right hand man. This was the first time I had learned to manage another persons life for them. For him I was an event planner, secretary, driver, and executive assistant. During these tasks I gained a lot of knowledge using Windows based platforms, mainly XP and 7, and became a subject matter expert at using Microsoft Office software. I deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, performing this job for 12 months throughout; a job that required me to work 15-18 hour days in a war zone. This job helped me polish my already strong work ethic. Show less
