Oscar Lundberg
I was lucky to work in close relation with Daniel at Gnothis AB within the field of single-molecule DNA sequencing. Daniel is highly skilled and very thoughful in what he does. We enjoyed many great discussions in the field of optics, physics, chemistry, computations and algorithms where Daniel was a great asset when solving problems and creating new solutions. Being both very skilled on what he does, and also a warm humble person, I would defenitely recommend Daniel. He belongs in the places where tough scientific problems are to be solved. It is a pleasure to work with him.
Hans Blom
During the time I interacted with Daniel (2008-2014), he has struck me as very intelligent, organized, and motivated young scientist and engineer; ready to tackle experimental as well as theoretical aspects of the task at hand. I find him remarkably hard working, capable of easily investing 40 hours per week to deliver intermediate milestone on time. Daniel also has well developed interpersonal skills and should have no problem integrating with new working environments and working on interdisciplinary projects. I can also say that he is careful, patient and meticulous and regarding optical microscopy he has excellent firsthand experience handling and developing cutting edge superresolution systems and their applicability in biomedical science. I truly believe that whatever scientific or engineering question Daniel is eager to solve he will do so at the top most level. He has all the necessary skills, experimentally and theoretically 'tested' and developed. He is an open minded person (a good husband and farther) and has excellent language skills (English). I am 100% sure that he will fit into any lab or industrial culture anywhere on the planet and there amaze his colleagues on how to professionally solve engineering problems, sharing his extended know-how and bring a true happy spirit with him.

Elekta is a human care company pioneering significant innovations and clinical solutions for treating cancer and brain disorders. Summary of performance areas and responsibilities: - Simulation and calculation of possible effects of metal streak artifacts in CT-images for radiation treatment planning. - Literature study as well as development and application of algorithms to reduce artifacts. Summary of results: - Simulations showed significant effects of metal streak artifacts when the dose is calculated in close proximity to the artifacts, especially from strong artifacts originating from dense metal objects. The applied artifact reducing algorithms greatly improved the results but could also introduce own artifacts to the images. Show less
