Easiest recommendation I'll ever give. Daniel rich is one of the best people I have ever worked with. I first heard of Daniel through friends at a company we both worked for. they talked about how he worked hard to see another person's achievements recognized. That person ended getting an opportunity in the career we was working towards because of Daniels efforts. That's Daniel. He cares about people and the work he does. I asked him, more than anyone, to do things we weren't sure were possible and he got them done. He is intelligent but incredibly humble. He often does things others say aren't possible. He hasn't only encouraged me to be better at my job but in my hobbies as well, going as far as taking his time to help me on numerous occasions in his own time. He's part of a small list of people that I wish I could work with my whole life.
David Penry
Daniel worked for me for two semesters, primarily developing algorithms for fine-grained task scheduling on multicore processors. Daniel demonstrated initiative and the ability to direct his own work in several aspects of research: locating and evaluating the relevant literature, developing algorithmic improvements, and evaluating experimental results.
