My main role at Sonin is manual test execution, API testing and defect management. My day to day activities include: - Manual test execution on a number of different projects within the business. It is my responsibility to test all new releases into the test environments to ensure there are no major issues and bugs are found, raised and fixed in a short space of time. - I must create tickets on trello for all bugs that I find within a product. It is important that tickets are raised correctly with as much detail as possible. This ensures quick turn around and contributes to keeping sprint time down. - Implementing new QA procedures. As this is a new team I have been producing ways the QA process can be improved and I work with the relevant people within the business to roll this out across all projects. Show less

My main role within RSA is manual test execution for the Liverpool test team. My day to day activities include: - Test planning such as creating test conditions and test scripts for all execution to be run through - Manual test execution on a range of applications and devices - Controlling daily defect reports via JIRA - Providing sign off for projects that have been executed to a strict deadline as well as deployment version testing I have now completed my apprenticeship where I have learnt the ins and outs of the software testing lifecycle. I have completed my apprenticeship through the arch training provider who have helped me gain a deep understanding of what is expected of a software tester and how projects should be handled on a day to day capacity. My main job role was to prepare the looms (weaving machines) for new jobs going in as well as clean and and recover machines from previous jobs that had been run. This was an apprentice role and as part of my on the job learning I was given a set plan in order to optimise my ability. I was given the task of training all new starters on a technique called warping. This was preparing all the fresh carbon fibre ready to go into the machine for a new job to begin.
