Research Associate

Aug 2015 - Nov 2015
I completed an internship as a Research Associate with Dr. Anne Aly, who, at the time, was the Associate Professor at Curtin University’s School of Media, Culture and Creative Arts. Dr. Anne Aly is now an MP for the Australian Labor Party. My primary focus was research into ‘foreign fighters’ and ‘lone actors’, identifying trends or similarities in their individual paths to radicalization. This was used to help identify intervention strategies to assist in the prevention of violent extremism.
