  Successfully completed a four year modern apprenticeship gaining NVQ level 2 and 3, BTEC, HNC and 17th Edition. One of five people taken on from a pool of over 500 candidates. For the last year of my apprenticeship and since completing it I worked a continental shift consisting of 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shifts incorporating both day and nights. Part of the Fast Action Response Team responsible for carrying out fault finding and repairing faults on a wide range of machinery, ranging from heavy industry through high pressure fast paced machinery to small fast paced packaging machinery. Between breakdowns carried out various other duties such as general maintenance and installations. Responsible for two areas of the factory were COMAH rated due to the chemical process plants, thus have experience in working in Ex rated zones. Part of my role required me to carry out mechanical activities to both assist the Mechanical Technicians and to also work individually when they were not available. Show less
