Initially employed as part of Finsolint Ltd but now part of Arca Europe. I started off by designing and building a load testing application which was used to test a clustered enterprise appplication, to replace a previous application using selenium which did not scale under load. I then moved onto several items of bespoke development to work alongside the main product line and also learn about the main product through bug fixing and further product development. Later I started developing tools for automating user interface test creation by allowing users to create tests using Selenium Builder which created a json representation, this lead to creating javascript extensions which allowed us to customise a firefox plugin user interface and also add the ability to export to a java based Selenium test that can be run from a firefox plugin using Cargo (an In memory java application server deployment framework framework). In addition the tests can also be saved and run from Jenkins using cargo to deploy the application and then run the tests. I also setup a cloud based load testing deployment in AWS which allowed the ability to scale to many more devices than could be facilitated through our own physical hardware. Creation of load testing solution to interact with clustered GWT application. Before leaving acted as ScrumMaster and was working towards getting certification.

Initially employed as part of Sectra Ltd but now part of Burnbank Systems Ltd within the Sectra Group. Following on from recent experience with thin client MVC web frameworks, I have been working on a solution which makes use of an ria framework to deliver a medical solution within a particularly tight deadline to aid resource allocation and assignment of medical resources. I was also involved with the setup and provision of version control using Mercurial and Rhodecode and recommendation of Issue reporting tools such as JIRA, as well as the initial setup of the development environment.

Initially joined to help maintain CRIS a Swing based radiology information system, but moved onto providing a simple resource allocation solution using jquery and CRIS mbean interfaces. The challenge here was to leverage existing interfaces and create a web based gui front end without impacting the server side solution. Working as a member of a team delivering 16 modules all adding up to an industry leading product for commercial retailers. This includes exposure to cutting edge MVC based JS client framework including development of new components where appropriate and also development of integration and unit tests for both client side and server side tiers of the application. I have recently completed a particularly complex section of functionality which embodies data which has a legal requirement to be accurate and correct. The framework utilises Ext JS through the Echo3 framework to speed up user interaction and produce good response despite heavy calculation requirements.
