I had the pleasure of training Daniel in his early days whilst I was employed with Stoddarts and was impressed at his willingness and desire to learn new things and the speed at which he picked up the Vertex BD detailing software. As time went on Daniel worked along side me working on projects together for some major clients and projects. My responsibilities include:-Designing/Detailing of light gauge steel walls, floors and roof trusses for fabrication and installation.-Designing/Detailing of structural elements for simple to complex houses, such Box Beams, PFC's, UC's, UB's, Portal Frames etc. -Communication, meetings and liaison with clients and installers for progress on projects with multiple dwellings with varied deadlines for completion. Rectory Road, Hawkwell - As the Lead Technician for this 175 plot development, I was responsible for the production of all, structural designs. Senior Technician working with in a team of 5 Technicians working on a wide range of Maritime projects (UK and International)Port of Duqm, Oman - As the Lead Technician for the works on the Tug Berth Finger pier, I was responsible for the production of over 100 designs for civil, structural and mechanical elements of the build in a very short period of time. Some of my other responsibilities included:- Communication, meetings and liaison with civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, for progress on the project with varied deadlines set for completion of packages such as general arrangements, sections, elevations etc.- Responsible for the production of both insitu and precast reinforced concrete designs.- Supervising design/drawing production and guaranteeing specific deadlines were met. - Daily, weekly planning and forecasting of works. Dead Sea Works, Israel – As the Lead Technician I was responsible for developing the concept packages that’s consisted of two schemes with various stages due to the reduction of water over the course of twenty years life cycle. Some of my other responsibilities included:- Creating specific concept designs from rough sketches for 100m link arms and combined access bridge. - Creating general arrangement designs with contour information and rotation of pontoon and bridge spans to meet a specific ground level.

My role saw me responsible for the development of ‘Preliminary’ to ‘As Built’ stages of the projects, the construction techniques used were steel frame construction, timber frame construction and reinforced concrete bar bending detailing and scheduling. My other responsibilities included survey projects undertaken by the company; I was in charge of the monitoring and interpretation of survey information taken on site which was then reviewed and developed into reports and actions.I worked on a various number of school projects for the company that involved the development of reinforced concrete foundations with bar bending schedules, first, second and roof structural requirements, connection details and drainage details.
