Daniel Vuong has been working for me at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Beijing, China since August 2019. Daniel stood out with his ability to learn fast along with his drive to grow professionally. In light of his many contributions to the project, we offered him a consultant contract subsequent to his internship. With his analytical skills and strong work ethic, he has proven to be a very valuable team member and continuously delivered high quality results. In his role as a consultant, he proved his ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines while fulfilling ad-hoc requests from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). Daniel’s responsibilities included among others the analysis of the regulatory framework of the Chinese electromobility market, market research and analysis. Based on his work, he wrote several reports on the Chinese electromobility industry for BMWi, helped in the further development of the ministry’s electromobility strategy in China and supported us in the preparation of a new project phase. I am highly confident in Daniel’s abilities and potential and recommend him for any team working towards ambitious goals. I thank Daniel for the time we have worked together and wish him all the best for his future.

Daniel and I have studied both at RWTH Aachen University and have worked closely in two voluntary projects. As a fundraising manager at Engineers without Borders in Aachen, Daniel conceptionalized and initiated a charity dance event "Breaking Borders", which provided significant financial support for our project "Wasser schafft Wege" in Cameroon. In 2017 he founded ACE - Association for Cultural Exchange (now AICE - Association for Intercultural Exchange), a student organization in Aachen promoting friendship and cultural exchange between international and local students. His exceptional leadership skills and proactivity moved our team at AICE towards the common vision of creating a more open and international student community in Aachen while building a global network. With his drive to make a positive impact wherever he is, Daniel has been a great inspiration for me and I believe that he will be a superb addition to any team.
