  Potchefstroom, South Africa Geology excursion. This excursion took place at Donkervliet in the Vrederfort Dome, South Africa. During the excursion the overturned layers of the dome were examined and the spesific rock types present within these layers were identified. By traversing the area and noting the different layers and rock types present we compiled a geological map for the specific region. Using the data collected during the excurion we attempted to explain the geological history of the specific region.

  Potchefstroom, South Africa Botany excursion. The excursion took place in the proposed Highveld Nature Reserve. During the excursion several plant communities were identified as well as the vegetation present within these communities. The field condition of these communities were also analysed using equipment such as pasture meters and methods such as belt transects and the descending point method.
