Evaluating the role of mechanical stress on the air-solution interface and how it affects the aggregation of monoclonal antibodies in solution using the Langmuir trough. Studied the effect of different protein and surfactant concentrations on protein stability and total particle formation, compiled reports and communicated findings to lab supervisor. Prepared experiment procedure, solution for experiment, different surfactant and protein concentrations, paying close attention to detail during entire process in making sure solutions were not contaminated. Monitored experiments as they were carried out, ensuring process ran smoothly, and recorded data on computer using lab software. Analysed resulting data from experiments using statistical analysis methods, to identify trends in protein aggregation based on surfactant and protein concentration, and mechanical stress over time. Compiled report and communicated findings to research advisor.

Successfully designed and built a reactor to convert ethylene oxide to ethylene glycol via gold nano-catalyst with research advisor. Utilized literature report on catalysis to re-design experiments and replicate the selective conversion of ethylene glycol from ethylene oxide via gold nano-catalyst, on par with literature research results. Kept a data log of all solution concentrations, catalyst proportions, research procedures, experiment conditions, and results. Gained valuable experience and knowledge researching, sourcing, procuring and writing user instruction manuals on various lab equipment such as furnaces, centrifuges, etc.
