Thrive Lot is a scalable platform transforming yards into lush, bountiful ecosystems. The platform provides marketing, sales, support, ecological design tools, business management tools, and collections for a network of independent service providers who install and maintain ecological landscapes, gardens, and more for property owners. At Thrive Lot, my responsibilities start with defining the creative direction of the platform and continue with directing product strategy and development in accordance with our short term and long term goals. As a co-founder of SeatsOpen, I activated innovation by transforming off-hour third spaces into vibrant coworking hubs. My leadership stretched across product development, design, user experience, and strategy. At the helm of product development, I guided the creation of a native iOS/Android app, ensuring a blend of function and user-centric design. The fruits of this labor were a seamless platform that connected our community to shared workspaces with just a tap. While directing design, I championed aesthetics that felt intuitive to users, weaving together an appealing and fluid interface. Every design detail was meticulously crafted, prioritizing the user experience at every turn. User feedback was at the heart of my approach. I spearheaded user interviews and employed feedback loops, refining our product constantly. This frontline interaction kept us in tune with our community and made us agile in the face of shifting needs. My stewardship extended to product strategy, where I devised roadmaps, orchestrated releases, and ensured alignment with our larger vision. It was here that we began seeing promising signs of product-market fit. Despite our growth and early signs of traction, the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic led us to close SeatsOpen. However, our accomplishments remain a testament to effective strategy, keen innovation, and the potential for transforming the coworking landscape. This journey, though cut short, held invaluable lessons for navigating future endeavors with resilience and adaptability. Show less

At Magnolia Blooms, my role as Co-Founder and Creative Director revolved around breathing life into unique concepts and turning them into reality. I was not just the creative nerve center but also the strategic mind behind our successful ventures. Overseeing mobile and web app development, I ensured our digital creations were not just aesthetically pleasing but strategically planned and user-centric. My designs and strategic input helped craft solutions that seamlessly bridged the gap between our clients and their customers. Real estate development consulting took me to the crossroads of function and form. My role involved designing spaces that were as efficient as they were appealing. Marrying aesthetics with practicality, I worked on projects that stood out and delighted visitors. As an architectural design consultant, my canvas was even broader. Here, I used my design expertise to create distinct structures that resonated with our clients' visions. My designs were not just about craft but weaving narratives for lasting impressions. Lastly, in the realm of branding and strategy consulting, I helped our clients develop strong identities and strategies. Crafting a brand goes beyond just design, it's about creating a perception, an image that stands the test of time. My strategic inputs were aimed at helping our clients carve out their own niche and build sustainable, long-term growth. In essence, my early professional days at MB were a rich tapestry of creativity, strategy, and design, coalescing into my favorite use of time: bringing together the physical and digital worlds in compelling ways. My tenure with TVC was about creating connections, enhancing visibility, and leveraging opportunities to fuel the region's economic growth. As an Organizational Consultant for the Tennessee Valley Corridor, I played a key role in powering its economic development mission. My task was to generate synergy between government contractors, tech companies, defense firms, and energy entities in the Tennessee Valley. Driving the annual national summit was a major responsibility. With a keen eye on detail and strategic coordination, I steered the planning process to ensure it was a platform that fostered valuable connections, exchange of innovative ideas, and funding opportunities. Digitally, I updated and crafted a robust web presence for the TVC by creating a comprehensive and user-friendly website. This served as an supplementary hub for networking, information sharing, and accessing resources. Coupled with this, I enriched the organization's messaging, connecting it to a vast database of supporters and sponsors through targeted emails and contacts. My role extended to shaping content campaigns that created a buzz and increased visibility in the region, attracting the right attention to our public-private partnership model. This helped enhance the sponsorship appeal and pushed us further towards our goals. Advising the Executive Director and constituents was another area where I contributed significantly. My inputs were targeted at strengthening TVC's positioning and influencing the regional narrative favorably. Show less
