Experience

    • Line Cook
      • Sep 2019 - Present

I started out as a dish washer/salad prep. Throughout the last year I became an apprentice to some of the chefs at the establishment and have gained many valuable skills and knowledge on how the operations of a restaurant goes. Within a few months I learned how to properly cook on the line and became one of the main cooks. Each day there is always something I’m learning whether it be something big or small. I have also gotten my Food Safe certification, and learned more about the temperatures for cooking, as well as for keeping specific types of food/products from accumulating bacteria and the shelf life of the products. • Crew Trainer/Shift Manager-In-Training
      • Sep 2015 - Oct 2019

As a shift manager I have taken in more responsibilities around the store. I have learned how to better manage the store, while the other managers were away. Due to one of our managers getting sick, and later quitting, I was offered the opportunity to learn how to close the store. That same day, along with the next day, I was taught how to deal with all customer service (including translation), count the safe and the drawers, use the vault, use the management computer to enter all the information into the system, manage employee breaks/meals, manage the floorplan for the store, close lobby, how to fully clean the store, input the waste-count inventory into the system, and do a final daily close of the store. Since then, I have been the closing manager 2-3 days out of the week, for 3 weeks, and been a shift manager since mid-October 2017. Show less

    • Crew Trainer
      • Jun 2013 - Aug 2015

I work as a responsible, and reliable*, member of the crew. Process and balance cash, and card, transactions for a multibillion-dollar company. Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and provide customer assistance in both English and Spanish. I am responsible for: training new employees on specific tasks, keeping the store running smoothly, helping my managers when assistance is needed, and make sure everything is always to the highest standards. *I am one of the few people they can always rely on to come to work, when not scheduled, for a shift when they need an extra hand. And I have a reliable transportation (my car) to get to and from work. Show less

    • Bus Boy
      • Sep 2014 - Feb 2015

A bus boy's job at the restaurant is responsible for cleaning the tables and chairs before, during, and after store hours. We would make sure everything is stocked for the whole day. When the food/drink truck arrived, we would help unload and arrange everything. We must periodically check the soda containers to switch them out if they are empty, and remove plates that are unused, or the customer has finished. Also, make sure the ice container by the soda machine is filled up. While the customers are enjoying their meals, we periodically refill their drinks, and fold pizza boxes to keep ourselves busy and not slacking around. On deliveries we must get to the destination as fast as possible to not have the food get cold before we get there. Show less

    • Personal Assistant
      • Jan 2010 - Jul 2013

I was the personal assistant of Jacqueline Cabrera, Co-owner of the company. I would help her make weekly schedules for appointments and meetings. Once or twice a week we would go to several management properties that are being unused at the time and put all the mail inside the homes, keep all records of the checkups, and coordinate any repairs that need to be made.
