This was an immense opportunity that people my age don't often get to do. Whilst working for Footy.com I was responsible for managing the products that would appear on the website, this required me to develop my teamwork skills which were critical to ensuring that we worked in the most efficient manner. Due to our improved time management and hard work, we met the project director's target of 4000 products two weeks early and exceeded his overall target by 25%. Through this experience I gained a vast amount of experience in the industry and how to effectively delegate jobs within a team to endeavor to get the job done to a high standard. In addition I was able to apply previous knowledge to my role by producing a database which would allow anyone to query a product and how many retailers it had in seconds, improving the overall work flow possible. Towards my end on my time at Footy.com I was given the opportunity to test the new site which would be launched in the coming months for bugs and overall consistency, on a multitude of different devices and browsers. Finally I was given the opportunity to create the navigation item for the new site using an internally developed tool. Further to this I added query stings to the navigational items to allow them to filter out products by; brand, cost, percentage saved etc. Show less
