Bio
Ian Sadinsky
Daniel is an exceptional professional who excels in both English and French as a writer, editor and communicator. He is extremely diligent in his work, not only meeting deadlines and quality standards but also in commanding the subject matter of any assignment. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any project, large or small. Ian Sadinsky President, Sadinsky and Associates

Daniel Drolet is one of the best journalists I know. He was a tremendous asset to the Ottawa Citizen, with a career covering everything from council meetings to Parliament Hill, and terrific editing skills as well. His fluency in French and English and his extensive familiarity with Quebec and federal politics made him the go-to guy in the newsroom if you had to cover a Quebec story (and Ottawa is just across the river from Quebec, so there were many). And when you did ask, Danny was always full of excellent advice and encouragement. Perhaps the most impressive experience I had working with Danny was a day when he was covering a federal budget. He had to call in a story only 15 minutes after the document was released to reporters, to meet the deadline for our afternoon, home-delivery edition. He dictated a clear, concise report that was right on the mark, picking out the major elements of the budget with the sharp eye of a veteran. He then returned to the reporting task and filed a more detailed report several hours later for the next day's paper. I have never seen his equal for speed and precision, in my own 30-year journalism career.
