  I am currently employed as a Parent Liaison at Gateway International School (GIS). GIS is a transitional-kindergarten to eighth grade school (TK-8th) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. I work as a classified administrator in the school. My main role is to be a liaison between the school and community. I oversee the school-wide communication that is sent out either via e-mail, app, or social media. I also assist in building school culture by creating monthly award shows for the students. I also serve as one of the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) leaders, training staff in the implementation of PBIS in our school. As a school admin I support our administrators in discipline and student engagement. We follow a social-emotional program called Capturing Kid’s Hearts, where the focus is on relationship building with students and staff.   I was the Athletic Coordinator for the elementary school I worked at (1300 students).Organized coaches, tryouts, teams, travel, team equipment for basketball, soccer, volleyball and Olympic events in our district. Communicated with parents, staff, and other coordinators about events. Supported our district Athletic Director in the events by providing supplies for students such as first aid and water.

  I worked as a Physical Education Para-educator alongside credentialed teachers. Taught a variety of grades from kindergarten to sixth grade through the years. Developed:-Classroom management skills-Communication between staff-Communication between parent/guardians-Lesson planning-Lesson organization -Leadership -Mentorship, especially when I coached-adaptability During my time as a para-educator, I substituted various roles such as: playground assistants, front desk, and custodial staff.
