In this position, my responsibilities ranged to include all project phases from design development through construction administration services for educational K-12 projects, commercial and corporate interior including new construction, multi-story additions and interior alterations. Duties include preparing schematic designs, construction documents, coordinating with consultants and contractors, reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs. Key projects include a 4-story 100,000 s.f. middle school addition and SDA design-build projects for 2 and 3 story elementary schools.

My duties included overseeing the design and construction of corporate interior, warehouse and industrial facilities as well as civic and residential design. Key projects include an 18,000 s.f. office space, multi-phase office alterations and the re-design and construction of a 140,000 s.f. office space into a science laboratory and manufacturing facility. Other responsibilities included: field measuring and drawing of existing conditions, reviewing and processing submittals, code research, designing material finish boards for presentations, meeting with clients and consultants and general office duties.

In this role I aimed to foster a community in my building and floor by coordinating various events that encouraged social interactions, professional skills and leadership development. As an RA for freshmen architecture students, I took an interest in educating others on technical skills and helping them to adjust to the rigors of architecture school. I mediated issues between residents and worked with campus staff departments.
