- Customer Development - 100+ in-person interviews that lead to use case analyses, customer journeys and ideal customer profiles (ICPS). - Created wireframes and user flows - Built a design system and UI/UX for mobile application - Advanced Prototyping tests with 30+ customers - Networking - Created a board of advisors and mentors through the greater Denver and Bay Area community. - Traction - Established a waitlist with 2,000+ customers. Created a monthly newsletter for respondents. Ran display ads and SEM ads. - Product Management - Proficient in Notion, Coda, and Jira. Used agile frameworks to establish goals for product development. - Web Development - AB tested landing pages with Webflow and Unbounce. (Proficient with Google Analytics, Tag Manager & Optimize) Reasons it did not succeed - Margins - Wyzer was intended to be a marketplace connecting investors with financial advisors, with much lower margins than the competition. This resulted in a CAC and an LTV that was not sustainable. - Capital Requirements - The FinTech space is extremely capital intensive and crowded. It was difficult to raise the required money with the team we put together. - Domain Expertise - The finance space is highly regulated and complicated. Even experienced advisors, who were excited about the concept, couldn’t help us find a way to overcome the barriers. (OLD) At Wyzer we believe everyone deserves to have access to great financial advice, no matter your income level, background, or beliefs. Our mission is to be the marketplace for investment advice.
