  My PhD project utilised knockin/knockout mouse models to investigate the role of the pluripotent gene Nanog during testicular development. PhD Research Highlights: • Managed experimental mouse colonies and conducted PCR genotyping for generating and maintaining knockin/knockout mouse models • Performed extensive histological analysis on dissected testes (prenatal and postnatal) to elucidate the expression and function of Nanog during embryonic and postnatal development • Isolated and cultured testicular cells to establish co-culture cell lines to investigate the pluripotency of Nanog expressing cells • Maintained excellent housekeeping and maintenance of the laboratory • Supervised and taught two undergraduate students several molecular biology techniques Show less
