  I participated in the annual Sustainable Business Challenge organised by Sustainble Motion. I worked on a case for Floriade 2022 and the municipality of Almere, where we had to find a solution for the 8000 tons of compost the municipality produces, which is contaminated by disposable diapers and plastics. It was a very interesting experience and my solution was met with great enthusiasm from the jury, even though I didn't win! Epigenetics, genetics, one-carbon metabolism and DNA methylation were the main pathways I focussed on. One of the notes of my supervisor was that I am very creative and think outside of the box. I got a 9 for creativity. She perceived my writing to be very pleasant to read and kept the reader engaged.
